A beautiful vintage Anatolian kilim, handwoven in the mid 20th Century.
Circa 1960s
Most probably from the region of Van and Hakkari regions in eastern Anatolia, Turkey, often created by Kurdish tribes.
These kilims are known for their distinct geometric tribal designs and rich, naturally-dyed colors.
They were traditionally woven from wool for nomadic use and can be identified by their technique, unique motifs, and vibrant color palettes.
This particular example features:
-Red, blues, light beige and touches of oranges and blacks.
