PRODUCT INFORMATION
This Vintage Turkish kilim rug is a classic tribal rug, handwoven in wool circa 1940-1950.
Woven with naturally dyed wool in variations of colours and stripes decorated with tribal motifs.
On the Design:
The kilim runner is divided into banded segments, most of them meticulously defined by a sequence of contrasting patterns and hues.
The dominant color field is a dark muted red, combined nicely with muted greys, oranges and beiges exuding warmth and vitality, while flanking panels introduce a series of bold geometric triangles in brown, red and black.
On the entire field, there are geometric stripes with tribal motifs within them in varying colors—creating a sense of movement and energy while maintaining the symmetrical balance of the overall design.
This beautiful antique kilim rug is 100% wool and hand-knotted.
Ended with fringes at both ends.
This Tribal Vintage Kilim rug features an ancient design and a famous rug tradition, and belongs to the pioneering cities of royal carpet making.Connoisseurs will admire the technique, in which tribal weavers combine multiple panels into one piece with a repeat pattern.
