A stunning Stag Catana Teak chest of drawers.

Designed by John and Sylvia Reid for the Stag Cantata range, it dates from the mid to late 20th century.
A striking example of British mid-century design, this Stag Cantata design exudes 1970's style retro charm and timeless functionality.
 
Crafted from warm teak.
Featuring three graduating drawers, each adorned with sculpted teak handles that reflect a Scandinavian-inspired simplicity.
Drawer fronts veneered in teak displaying the full grain with softly rounded leading edges.
The carcass sits on a recessed plinth.
The top surface extends slightly beyond the sides, creating an overhanging detail.
The drawers operate on wooden runners and are finished with plywood interiors.

This compact chest has a warm, original teak finish with attractive grain. Its bracket base and softly rounded edges give it a timeless, understated look that works well in both vintage and contemporary interiors.
The proportions are compact and boxy with minimal ornamentation.

The piece is characteristic of Stag’s output from the early 1970s, prioritising functional storage with restrained detailing.
The cabinet is excellent quality with great detailing to the chunky solid teak handles, very 1970s.

Good original preloved condition
Minor wear in places.
Light scratches, dents, marks, mostly at the edges of the unit, on its top and left bottom side.
Chest has been cleaned and waxed.
Interior of drawers clean but with traces of use
