CWS furniture was produced by the historical Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) at their Enfield, London factory, primarily during the mid-20th century. The company is no longer a current furniture manufacturer, so their products are now considered vintage and antique items
The CWS opened its Enfield Cabinet Factory in London on March 27th, 1930, which was equipped with machinery for mass production. They produced a wide variety of household furniture, including wardrobes, sideboards, chest of drawers, and blanket chests, known for their solid construction. The furniture often features a maker's mark or badge, such as "C.W.S. Ltd London Cabinet Factory Enfield".
