Mid Century English Stacking Dining Chairs.

Set of four 
 
Vintage stacking chairs with bent plywood seats and backs on chrome tubular frames. 
Classic school or institutional design with a clean, functional shape that stacks neatly and works well in both domestic and commercial settings.
 
Remploy was originally established under the terms of the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act 1944, to directly employ disabled persons in specialised factories. Remploy’s first factory opened in Bridgend, Wales, in 1946 and Remploy still operates to this day. 
These chairs are a classic Remploy design produced in volume in the 1950’s. 

The chairs feature the classic Remploy tubular structure with heavy weight birch seats and backs.

The curved seat and backrest offer comfortability and gives to the chairs a nice shape
The design is of great modernist form. 
Most of the chairs still have their original Remploy branding.
 
They're a fine example of the now ever popular, must have, vintage industrial school chair.
These would look great in a restaurant, retail space or in a family home.

Condition:
Overall in very good condition.
Structure in good condition, traces of use.
Light signs of use all over them such as scuffs, and scratches.
These items have been cleaned and treated with quality beeswax to highlight and protect the grain.
