Collection of 2 antique French enamel candlesticks from the 1930s-40s. 
 
This charming set features 2 different hand-held candlesticks / Chambersticks.
1 in soft pink enamel  in the shape of a vine leaf.
1 in green with a scalloped edge.
 
This type of candle holder is also called a cup candle holder, because it has a dish and is fitted with a handle or ring and often a thumb rest.
It was customary to have one in every room of the house.
 
There are a some distressed patches and chips on the enamel where the rust has been busy, but this just adds to its patina and rustic charm.
A lovely, authentic piece that oozes history and has a fab patina that can only have only have occurred with age and use.
